
City Park Denver - An Ideal Family Vacation Spot on Weekend
The largest park of Denver is the City Park which is spread over 330 acres of area. It is one mile long and accommodates a number of attractions that make it ideal for family fun. Visitors in hundreds and thousands visit the park on everyday basis to explore the natural beauty as well as the cultural significance of the park.
Denver Zoo is one of the major highlights of the City Park. It is the first zoo in the country to replace cages with naturalistic zoo enclosures. Bear Mountain and Primate Panorama are the most visited parts of the zoo. Jewels of the Emerald Forest, Monkey Island and Pachyderm Habitat are other great attractions of the zoo.
Another admirable highlight of the Denver City Park is the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. The visitors get to learn about the natural history of Denver and the rest of the world through exhibitions, programs and other activities held in the museum. Discovery Zone, Egyptian Mummies, Wildlife Exhibits and many other permanent exhibits are accommodated by the park.
