Coors Field Denver

Coors Field is located in Denver, Colorado and it the home ground of Major League Baseball's Colorado Rockies. Coors Field Denver was originally designed to accommodate 43,800 crowd capacities. However, after the team attracted 3 million fans during the first season, plans for enlargement were put across to seat 50,000 fans. The current capacity of the stadium as of the year 1999 holds exactly 50,381 seats. Out of the total seats available, the ball park also includes 63 luxury boxes and 4,500 club level seats.

This field was inaugurated on April 26th, 1995 with the first game played between the Rockies and the New York Mets. The main entrance of Coors Field Denver is located on 20th and Blake Streets. To prevent the ball park from imposing and affecting the neighbourhood in its vicinity, the field is located 21 feet below the street level.

The construction of this field has combined to create a modern stadium of comfortable seating as well as an atmosphere of the old-time ball parks. The natural grass on the Coors Field Denver has the capacity to drain 5 inches of water per hour with an unbeatable underground heating system that melts the snow as soon as it hits the ground.

Coors Field Denver opens every year for Denver travel and tourism during the offseason time in order to provide the behind-the-scenes look to the public. All the tours begin at the main entrance at Gate D and the tours last about 75 to 80 minutes, covering a distance of about a mile. The tour times are broken down into 2 slots every year, the first slot being from April-September and the next being between October-March.

On the non game days, the timings are 10 am, 12 pm and 2 pm whereas on the gaming days the tours are conducted in the evenings at 10 pm and 12 am.

October-March:

The only timings available during these months are 12 pm and 2 pm.
The prices of the tour tickets cost $7 for adults, $5 for children below the age of 12 years and $6 for senior citizens above the age of 55 years.
