Denver Art Museum is one of the three must-sees in Denver Center Park, the other two of which are the U.S. Mint and the Colorado State Capitol. As a part of the Civic Center Cultural Complex, the museum is located on 13th Avenue between Broadway and Bannock in downtown Denver. Its street address is 100 W 14th Ave Pkwy, Denver, CO 80204. You can reach Denver Art Museum from anywhere in the metro area via RTD (Regional Transportation District) without worrying about the expense of parking and the hassle of traffic. The Civic Center Station is situated at 1560 Broadway, Denver, CO 80202. The routes serving transit center include Free MallRide, CV, EV, HX, R, 0Ltd, 2X, 3Ltd, 5X, 44Ltd, 47X, 8X, 79Ltd, 87X, 83Ltd, 93X, 100X, 116X and 122X.

The location of Denver Art Museum allows self-driving visitors conveniently coming from any direction. Detailed routes are listed below:
From the South
- Drive north on I-25 to the Lincoln-Broadway exit (207);
- Go north on Lincoln and turn left at 12th Avenue;
- The Civic Center parking garage is two blocks ahead, just past Broadway.
From the North
- Drive south on 1-25 to the Speer Boulevard South exit (212);
- Continue on Speer Boulevard past Colfax Avenue;
- Turn left onto 14th Avenue, then the museum is six blocks ahead.
From the West
- Driving east on I-70, take the US-6 East/West 6th Avenue exit (261);
- Get onto US-6 freeway after several miles;
- Turn left onto Lincoln Street, later approach the museum from the south.
From the East
- Head south on 1-25 to the Speer Boulevard South exit (212);
- Continue on Speer Boulevard past Colfax Avenue;
- Turn left onto 14th Avenue, then six blocks away from the museum.
When you have approached the museum enough, try to enter the parking garage from 12th Avenue just west of Broadway. The parking rate there starts from $1 per hour. Parking for the disabled is available in the garage as well as the metered spaces along 13th and 14th Avenues.
Before your visiting, check the operation hours of DMA. It's open from 10am to 5pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. The operation hours for Sunday are from noon to 5pm. On Friday, the North Building closes at 5pm while the Hamilton Building is closed until 10pm. The Art Museum is closed on Monday and major holidays, including Thanksgiving and Christmas.
