Denver Zoo

You should visit the Denver zoo on some weekend with your kids. They will surely learn a lot about the animal world by watching different types of animals. It will also leave them with a great Denver CO travel experience and they will surely thank you for the wonderful weekend.

These were the 6 new things which my kids learned at the Denver Zoo:

1) They found the reindeer, which they always thought had a red funny nose and could fly, was just like any other deer. They told me, "You better not fool us next Christmas."

2) The kids saw the two humped Bactrian camels and single humped Dromedary camels. The kids always believed that camels stored water in their humps. They were surprised to know that they actually stored fat in their humps which could give them energy.

3) The kids were excited seeing the okapi, an animal with stripped legs and plain body. Then they found out that this animal was a combination of a zebra and a giraffe and more of a close cousin to the giraffe.

4) The Denver Zoo also taught something new to my kids. The lions which belong to the cat family treated their cubs the same way their pet cats treated their kittens. These lions also stretched out to have a refreshing nap the same way their pet cats did.

5) Another thing which the kids learned by seeing the Primate Panorama habitat was that the animals and human beings lived together in Central West Africa. There were birds, small deer, orangutans and gorillas all existing together.

6) There were signboards displaying detailed Denver CO travel guide about all there these to know about the animals and birds. The kids and I really appreciated this information because they learnt a lot about the world of animals. I strongly feel that every kid will learn a lot going by visiting the Denver zoo.
