Formerly known as Colorado's Ocean Journey, Downtown Aquarium was purchased by Landry's Restaurants, Inc in 2003. It was reopened as a public aquarium and restaurant in 2005 and it has been a must-see place in Denver to entertain locals and all kinds of travelers.

The layout of Downtown Aquarium is perfect for you to see everything, and there are a lot of fun surprises along the way. The huge tanks let you get close enough to see different types of fishes, crustaceans, sea stars, jellies and more. The great tunnel beneath the main aquarium has sharks, rays and sea turtles that swim over you. Plus they have some tigers, sea otters, birds and snakes.
Equally fascinating for adults and children, the Aquarium is a valuable asset for both enjoyment and education. There are spectacles such as scuba demonstrations and opportunities to feed the animals and plenty of add-on experiences for an additional fee.
