Loveland Ski Area

Loveland Ski Area is the place, which has been a local favourite for decades, and it is located near Georgetown, Colorado. It encompasses a vast area of about 1,365 acres, which is spread across the continental divide. It experiences abundance of snowfall of about 400 inches every season.

The Loveland Ski Area comprises of the Loveland Basin and Loveland Valley Ski areas. It is located 53 miles outside Denver and is the closest ski resort to Denver and it lies just before the Eisenhower Tunnel.

Loveland Ski Area is one of Colorado's highest areas in terms of both altitude and annual snowfall. The temperatures drop and become consistent, that is by September to mid October. During this time, the fluffy white heaven opens for the tourists who travel to Denver. They get to enjoy a minimum of 18 inches of snow base and a 1,000 vertical foot open territory. This is truly a skier's paradise.

For anyone who is new to skiing or if you want to learn it, Loveland offers a variety of programs for beginners. The programs are available for both adults and children. Beginners do well on the Valley's gentle slopes, while the Basin provides aggressive slopes and turns apt for the daredevils.
