Elitch Gardens in Denver has a deep rooted history going back to the late 1800s. For nearly a century between 1897 and 1987 it was home for the country's oldest summer stock theaters. The present owners acquired the Elitch Gardens from Six Flags in the year 2006 reportedly for $170 million dollars.

With an extra $15 you can buy yourself a fast pass and this is one sure shot way to save several hours. The lines at Elitch Gardens are indeed long and without the fast pass you could potentially be waiting in the lines to get to your ride.

At the water park too getting a cabana paying $100 will work to your advantage and more so if you are in a group. The advantages are that you get chairs for every member of your group, some reclining chairs, a beautiful view of the pool and obviously the shade.

A server is also available to fetch you food available in the park and of course a surface to keep your food rather than on your lap. Throw in $50 more and you get a meal with soda unlimited. Many people have found this facility worth the spend. VIP tubes that come free with the Cabana will come in handy because you can head straight for the rides without waiting for the tubes. A large enough locker that is provided will ensure that you can leave your belongings safe inside the locker while you enjoy the lazy river and all that it holds. Some of the Cabanas may be rickety so watch out and ensure that you get a sound one.
